Create your Nutella® Easter Bunny
Are you looking for something different this year from the usual eggs to celebrate Easter? Create a cute Easter bunny with your empty Nutella® jar. It's easy and the result is impressive, so follow our steps and you'll have a nice Easter!
WHAT IS NEEDED
-
Empty Nutella® jar with lid
-
Yellow felt, 3 mm thick
-
Bunny ears template
-
Hot glue gun
-
Textile glue
-
Cutter / craft knife
-
Scissors
-
Pen
-
2 Wiggle eyes
-
Pompoms, 2 different sizes
-
Ruler
METHOD
-
STEP 1
Draw a circle on the felt, using the lid as a template. Then draw the ears using the bunny ears template. Next, draw a strip 2 cm wide and 28 cm long. Cut all the pieces out.
-
STEP 2
Draw two marks, 1.5 cm wide, in the middle of the circle and use the cutter to slit them.
-
STEP 3
Put some textile glue on the bottom of the ears, then stick the ears into the slits. Make sure that the glue also reaches the slits.
-
STEP 4
After the glue has dried, apply hot glue to the lid and the underside of the felt circle, around the ears. Stick the circle onto the lid. Attach the felt strips to the edge of the lid, using hot glue.
Tip: When doing this, the lid should be screwed onto the jar, so the ears will be facing forward. -
STEP 5
Use hot glue to attach a large pompom for the tail to the back of the jar. Stick the wiggle eyes on the front, then three small pompoms for a nose, underneath.
-
STEP 6
If you want to give the bunny as an Easter gift, you can fill the jar or plant it, as you prefer. All done!
Tip: If putting a plant in the jar, take the lid off, so the plant won’t suffocate!
