Asabea' Zainab
INGREDIENTS for 6-8 portions

450g of white flour

300g of fine semolina

2 tbsp anise, ground

2 tbsp fennel, ground

1 tsp cinnamon powder

1 tsp sodium carbonate

115g olive oil
-
300g water
-
1 liter vegetable oil for frying

150g sugar syrup
-
150g Nutella®
-
For decoration:

Grounded pistachio and hazelnut, or any nuts of your choice.
To prepare this delicious recipe, 15g of Nutella® per person is enough to enjoy!
METHOD

Put all the ingredients in a large wooden or glass bowl and mix them well. Rub olive oil with the flour combination until they are mixed well.

Put the water and the combination in an electric kneader and mix until a moldable dough is formed. Let it stand for one hour.

Shape the dough in to small short fingers then pass them through a strainer to take the desired shape.

Fry the fingers Sawabe’ Zainab in hot oil and stir them continuously until brown.

Take them out of the oil and wait until cold.

Garnish with Nutella® and grounded nuts.
