Barazek with Nutella®

INGREDIENTS for15-16 Barazek (2 pcs per person) / 7-8 persons

1 cup flour (125g)

Pinch of salt (1g)

1/4 cup ghee (60g)

1/8 cup water (50ml)

1/2 cup sugar (100g)

1 tablespoon honey (20g)
-
2/3 cup Sesame (100g)
-
1 teaspoon icing sugar (5g)
-
1 tablespoon honey (20g)

110g Nutella®

To prepare this delicious recipe, 15g of Nutella® per person is enough to enjoy!
METHOD

Add room-temperature ghee to sifted flour in a medium bowl and use a spatula to incorporate it nicely. It will have a crumbly texture.

In another small bowl, stir water with sugar and honey until well-mixed.

Add the sugar mix to the flour-ghee bowl and use spatula or your hands to bring the dough together. It should be buttery and well-incorporated. Cover and let it rest in the fridge for 15-20 minutes.

In the meantime, prepare the sesame mix by mixing sesame with sugar and honey.

Line a baking tray with parchment paper or brush with some oil. Preheat oven to 180C.

Use your hands to create small balls (1 teaspoon full of dough), dip them in the sesame mix then flatten thin and round onto the oven tray. Repeat until all the dough is turned into thin flat sesame-covered discs.

Place in oven for 15 minutes or until lightly golden.

Let Barazek biscuits cool before brushing half of the quantity with one teaspoon Nutella® each (7g) and covering it with another biscuit to create sandwiches.
