Shaklama with Nutella®

INGREDIENTS for 15-16 pieces (2 per person) / 7-8 persons

1 cup coconut flakes (coarse not fine) (100g)

Pinch of salt (0.16g)

1/2 cup sugar (100g)

2 egg whites
-
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

3 tablespoons coconut flakes (15g)

110g Nutella®

To prepare this delicious recipe, 15g of Nutella® per person is enough to enjoy!
METHOD

Use a handheld mixer to beat egg whites, vanilla and salt into a foamy stiff texture - about 2 minutes.

Slowly add sugar and keep beating slowly until well incorporated. Set the mixer aside.

Add coconut and use a spatula to incorporate it into the batter.

Preheat oven to 150C. Line baking sheet with parchment paper. Use a tablespoon to scoop coconut batter onto the tray. You need about 1.5 tablespoons (20g) for each shaklama. Sprinkle each with coconut flakes.

Place into oven for 20 minutes or until cooked through.

Let it cool completely before you add a dollop on Nutella® on top (about 1 teaspoon 7g).
