55g Flattened rice

24g Grated coconut

240g Water

5g Salt

5g Oil

75g Nutella®

To prepare this delicious recipe, 15g of Nutella® per person is enough to enjoy!
PREPARATION

Wash and soak rice for 4 hrs, then wash and soak flattened rice for 45 mins.

Drain the water and grind the rice along with the flattened rice and coconut to a smooth batter.

Ferment for 12 hrs. The ferment batter will have many tiny air-pockets. Add salt.

Heat an appam pan. Drizzle some oil. Reduce the heat. Spread a ladle full of the batter into the hot pan. Make a round circle with thin edges and soft centre. Cover the pan.

Serve with a dollop of Nutella® 15g per portion. Add some chopped nuts to it to make a delicious breakfast.
