Puran Poli with Nutella®

INGREDIENTS 8 Portions

For the Poli (outer covering)
  • 180g Whole wheat flour

  • 180g Water

  • 15g Ghee

  • 1g Turmeric

  • 3g Salt

For Puran (dal stuffing)
  • 135g Chana Dal

  • 480g Water

  • 1g Turmeric

  • 10g Ghee

  • 50g Jaggery

  • 2g Elaichi

  • ½ tsp Nutmeg

  • 2g Salt

  • Spread – 120g Nutella® + 2 Bananas

To prepare this delicious recipe, 15g of Nutella® per person is enough to enjoy!

PREPARATION

  1. Wash and cook the chana dal along with salt and turmeric in the pressure cooker until one whistle then drain the excess water and grind along with jaggery in a blender

  2. Cook the paste on medium heat on a pan until a thick paste is formed then add the elaichi powder and nutmeg and divide into 8 equal portions.

  3. Mix all the ingredients for the dough and knead until nice and soft. Rest the dough for an hour then take a small portion of the dough and make a smooth ball

  4. Form a cup by pressing the dough from the sides and stuff it with the puran and seal the dough without any cracks. Dust the ball with some whole wheat flour& flatten it.

  5. Now roll gently without putting much pressure and roll as thin as possible and make sure the puran is distributed evenly.

  6. Cook the puran poli on tawa keeping the flame on medium and rub some ghee on both sides. Spread Nutella® 15g per portion with some banana slices. Roll and Enjoy.
